Expression of the Divine

We venerate those who have found the ultimate reality; some of us even aspire to realise the truth and find The One within.
It is such an irony that many of us crave this even as we spend lifetimes denying our own realities and downplaying our unique idiosyncrasies in an attempt to belong and to fit in; dismissing the generous expression of the divine that resides in each one of us.
"Transcend the physical", they say They talk of Mindfulness and Heartfulness, Thoughtlessness and Compassion, And every other conceivable way
Isn't the Physical, though, cardinal? The mind, the heart, and the expression Diverse and unique manifestation Each one like none!
Yet lives are reduced to endeavours Undertaken to belong To evade the exclusive And to just get along
They supress the Physical And themselves they shun Then dream of the non-physical And chase The One!
