Uncle Google advised that stem cuttings have greater chances of survival if planted in a potato, since the potato provides nutrition and moisture till the stem roots. Sounded quite reasonable and oh so scientific!

So in went a stem cutting inside a little potato, and the duo inside soil!

Don't know if the stem has rooted yet, but Mr Potato definitely did! We stand by अतिथी देवो भव in our little potted plants too so Mr Potato is wholeheartedly welcome.
